editing while filming

Is it possible to edit videos while filming?

I 3D printed a side mount for the hate5grip (github.com/hate5six/hate5grip) that I developed last year.

Using my thumb I can record cut sequences without removing my hand from the camera.

The cut sequence is stored in a SQLite database running on a Raspberry Pi.

I then wrote a Python script to ingest the cut sequence and automatically recreate the cuts within Adobe Premiere.

Not bad for producing a first draft of a set while filming it.
