Long Live Sekou Odinga

In memory of Sekou Odinga, who transitioned on January 12th. Baba Sekou was a Black Panther and member of the Black Liberation Army, most well known for breaking Assata Shakur from prison and helping her flee to Cuba where she remains to this day. He was captured and spent 30 years in prison before liberating himself and creating a path for many others to come home. Baba Sekou was a towering figure who guided many of us from Philadelphia to Algeria, and stood for the liberation of Black and Brown people across the globe–including Palestine–until his very last breath just days ago. As @yahnendgo said, Sekou is now an ancestor whose spirit will continue to lead us on the path towards collective liberation.
