Beatdown masters’ Boundaries are back with another colossal slab of harmonious noise. If you aren’t familiar with these guys, I highly recommend you to check out their previous recordings before deep diving into this one. Boundaries are true representatives of a contemporary hardcore scene with their technically demanding compositions that will assure you this genre is still alive and kicking. Burying Brightness is their third album that comes right after brilliant full-lengths such as Hartford County Misery and Your Receding Warmth, but also, let’s not forget many EPs and singles these guys put out along the way. However, it seems their latest album resonates with even more power than anything they put out in the past.

Those checking out this epic band for the first time, expect the unexpected. Boundaries are unpredictable, and Burying Brightness is all about those aesthetics where you can’t figure out what’s coming up next. This particular album carries twelve powerful compositions suitable for fans of contemporary metalcore sound, but don’t be surprised if you stumble upon some other genres along the way. Actually, Burying Brightness possesses some of the finest properties of genres such as death metal, thrash metal, progressive metal, djent, mathcore, beatdown hardcore, hardcore, and post-hardcore. Perhaps you’ll hear some minor elements of glitch, electronica, and experimental music, but these are just enhancements incorporated into a couple of songs. Boundaries are up to modern metalcore and beatdown hardcore, and it seems these two genres are their primary sonic directions from scratch to finish.

Burying Brightness offers so many excellent, catchy, technically demanding guitar shreds that you’ll solely focus your listening apparatus on what these guys stacked into these songs. This material will be right up your alley if you’re into energetic, progressive, complex riffs, scales, licks, solos, and other sonic delicacies that define only the best metalcore releases. This material wouldn’t sound this good with equally challenging low-end tones and profoundly dynamic drumming performance that, like the remainder of the band, go beyond comprehension many times throughout the entire album. The impressive vocal performance ranges from low-end growls to high-pitched screams, but don’t be surprised if you stumble upon classic hardcore shouts and clean singing. Boundaries created an incredible metalcore album that will satisfy even the pickiest fans. Burying Brightness drops tomorrow, so keep your eyes peeled or head to Boundaries’ official merch store for more information about ordering physical release.
