Faintest Idea- The Road To Sedition

This album dropped March 31st, but my head space was shit so I’m now doing reviews. I’ve been hyping this ever since I heard it was coming out. I couldn’t be more fuckin stoked blasting this. It opens with apocalyptic horns meets Clash Sandinista era production on The Machine Sleeps and immediately grabs your collar to urgently demand your attention. Then it goes into Kill ‘Em Dead that’s a reading and record list for any conscious punk kid who needs the education to fight the power. Literally you should read and listen to everything listed in this track. I gotta talk about this next track. Their next single False Prophets which the band said was a straight up punk tune only to have the most fore horn Iines and ska rhythm work on the whole record and I laugh everytime. I’m tellin y’all you should buy a physical copy because the liner notes are fuckin awesome! There’s notes about each song and associated reading lists! This took me back to when I was that kid who wanted to burn down the system using Anti-Flag and Clash liner notes as a shopping list and holy book. I’m still that kid who wants to burn it down but I’m educated and more of a threat now. I’m deeply thankful to have come across this band. They’re The Clash, Anti-Flag and every great ska punk band blended together. Crank this loud enough to threaten your landlord!
