From Pittsburgh PA, Riverside CA  and other scenes I don’t know comes a narrative skacore supergroup swingin full on. I heard just a bit about this from Chrissidente (vocals and guitar for PGH gnarly skacore unit Dissidente) about a year ago so I’ve been fuckin hyped for this to happen.  That dramatically increased when news of the release came across my feed the other day. Other than Chris the band includes members of Voodoo Glow Skulls outta the Riverside skacore scene that was my first ska home so I’m stoked that they’ve stayed with the evolving skacore scene that theu helped influence.  This means we get Efrem of Death By Stereo, Manic Hispanic and Voodoo Glowskulls laying down his style right along side Chris’ scathing scream that’s one of my favorite in skacore. The musical work on this is minblowingly amazing in how it pushes that ska root up against every bit of heavy music and blending it into another evolution of the overall sound and everyone is running fuckin a game. The narrative part of this is a manga (yep, a fuckin skacore manga) about the consequences of continuously trying to kill the ground out from under us in a Sci fi anime setting. With the EP that will be out February 20th on Ska Punk International comes with a prologue to a full book that’s currently being worked on so that’s something to look forward to in the not too distant future. The EP has 2 sides 1 being in English and the other in Japanese featuring members of Japanese skacore bands FRAIL, Shinji and Ryo. Sadly I haven’t been able to find info on these bands. I’ll add links of I do Pre orders are available now and I’ll have links for that and a review I did on Dissidente below.
